I am a Comedy Impressionist, Script writer, Multi Instrumentalist and Voice Over Artist

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I grew up in a town named Ellesmere Port, just across the water from the City of Liverpool, England.

 

I've had many Comedy and Musical influences over the years.  I've learned a lot from the Masters of Comedy such as Laurel & Hardy, Benny Hill, Kenny Everett and the Great Rock & Rollers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie etc, all of which set me on this crazy path.

 

I started out as a solo artist performing locally in small bars and clubs.  I then went on to front various bands over the years, before going Solo following my success on a TV Talent Show called New Faces in 1988.  

 

Various TV appearances followed and whilst filming the Sky TV Show WHO DO YOU DO,  I was appoached by the Manager representing the 1960's  band  "The Rockin Berries", who offered me the position of Frontman. I accepted and worked with the band for 5 years, touring prestiguous venues in the UK and around the world.

 

After 5 years with the Rockin Berries  I returned to my Solo Career.  Launching my self written One Man performance,  "THE STEVIE RIKS SHOW" in 2000.  Over the next few years, I toured Clubs and Theatres all over the UK.  Appearing in The Ken Dodd Laughter Show and  Ricky Tomlinsons Variety Show.

 

In 2006, I entered the world of the internet, where I established my presence on Youtube.  

 

By 2008 my popularity on youtube was world wide and my videos were going viral. This  attracted the attention of the BBC and I was featured in their TV Documentary programme Inside Out.

 

Also in 2008, I worked with Bob Mortimer (Pett Productions) writing and performing on the ITV Production "THE ALL STAR IMPRESSIONS SHOW".

 

More recently I've worked with high profile Photographer/film maker Tony Briggs on a project for Comedy Central.

 

Musically, I have released a self penned album entitled SONGS FROM THE PARLOUR.

I was the voice of PONDLIFE, A Single entited Ring Ding which reached No 11 in the UK Chart.

I was co-writer on a 2008 Christmas Single performed by the late DAVY JONES of THE MONKEES

 

I regularly work as a Voice Over Artist -  Clients include, Virgin Radio, Alton Towers Theme Park, Flamingo Land Theme Park,  Opera Telecom, various Independent Radio Stations and private clients.
